ALL OF UKRAIN BELONGS TO RUSSIA SAYS PUTIN

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Slams Putin’s “Disdain” for Peace Process Following Controversial Remarks

KYIV, Ukraine — Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga on Friday condemned Russian President Vladimir Putin’s recent comments, accusing him of displaying outright “disdain” for ongoing efforts to restore peace between the two nations.

Sybiga's statement came shortly after Putin declared that “the whole of Ukraine” rightfully belongs to Russia — a claim that Kyiv sees as a blatant rejection of international norms and a major blow to any hopes for a diplomatic resolution to the war.

“This is not just rhetoric — it’s a clear signal that the Kremlin is not interested in dialogue or peaceful coexistence,” Sybiga said. “Putin has shown complete disregard for Ukraine’s sovereignty and the global community’s push for peace.”

The remark adds to mounting tensions ahead of international talks aimed at resolving the conflict. Ukraine has been rallying global support for a peace plan centered on the withdrawal of Russian troops and the restoration of its territorial integrity, including Crimea and the eastern Donbas region.

Putin’s declaration, viewed by Kyiv and its allies as an escalation in aggressive rhetoric, underscores the widening gulf between the two sides’ visions for the future of Ukraine. Western leaders have also expressed alarm at the Russian president’s latest remarks, calling them inflammatory and unacceptable.

As the war drags on with no immediate end in sight, Ukraine continues to urge its partners to increase political, economic, and military pressure on Moscow.
