MEDIA STATEMENT
Saturday, 15 March 2025 – The Swaziland Liberation Movement (SWALIMO) wishes to categorically state that recent allegations linking our movement to the administrative challenges within SWAVISA are unfounded and misguided.
While we acknowledge that some of our members are beneficiaries of SWAVISA due to their displacement following the events of June 2021, it is imperative to clarify that SWALIMO, as a revolutionary movement, neither seeks nor holds an interest in influencing the internal affairs of other organizations. Our commitment remains steadfast in the broader struggle for liberation and social justice in Swaziland.
We take this opportunity to call upon all Swazis engaged in this matter to resolve their differences through dialogue and unity. The path to true emancipation demands that we stand together, bound by a shared vision of justice, equality, and the dismantling of oppressive structures. Divisions among us only serve to prolong the suffering of our people and weaken the collective force required to achieve genuine liberation.
Let us be guided by the love of the people and the revolutionary principles that have shaped liberation movements across history. As Karl Marx reminds us, history is shaped by the struggle of the oppressed against the forces of exploitation. Our focus must remain on the dismantling of all systems of oppression that have long subjugated the people of Swaziland.
The struggle continues. Educate. Mobilize. Liberate.
